The Oasis is located in a century-old palm grove, just 250 meters from the beach, and represents a unique project that arises from a deep connection with the land and the experience of those who have lived and worked in Zanzibar for over 15 years.
Entirely built following the principles of Eco-Construction, The Oasis blends with the history and nature of the palm grove in which it is nestled.
The villas at The Oasis have been designed by the Italian designer Sandro Gurioli, who has also designed the other four hotels for MyJambianiGroup, meticulously following eco-construction principles.
The development of The Oasis was driven by a desire to preserve the existing vegetation and, therefore, build almost exclusively in areas not occupied by palm trees, minimizing impact wherever possible.
This choice has allowed a balance of open and closed, sunny and shaded spaces.
The sense of space, the use of natural materials, the linear layout, and the rectangular living units are inspired by Swahili tradition.
Each villa is part of a collective, where privacy is maintained, yet there is a connection to expansive common areas designed to echo the structure of a traditional African circular village.
